In Their Words

VISION REVIEWS

"TJ has a unique way of interacting with these youth and getting them actively involved in learning about a topic they think they know everything about, both staff and residents alike have stated they think the VISION program is excellent and they would love to experience it again".

-Bryan Hubbard, Program Coordinator at Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center

"His confidence and stage presents also enable him to engage audiences in any subject he is teaching.  He brings innovative illustrations to accentuate his points, there are often few dry eyes when he shares from his heart.  The ability to move people to action is a gift. If you are in need of a person who deeply cares about youth and their challenges and is able to translate that concern into a message that will motivate and challenge youth to change the direction they are in and be hopeful for what the future holds, TJ and VISION will be a perfect fit."

- Paget Rhee,  Washington DC Urban HANDS Director

“T.J.’s VISION program was implemented three days a week for a ten week cycle.  I believe through his efforts, T.J. has opened the “doors of change” for some individuals that would otherwise remain resistant to change.  His knowledge and programming has allowed students to explore a variety of presenting and underlying concerns that include, but are not limited to, gang violence, relationship skills, drug & alcohol abuse, money management, respect, and role modeling. It is my belief that the VISION Program is a vehicle that, when coupled with stable therapeutic relationships, will serve as a catalyst to breaking down barriers that our youth, entrusted into our care, present when faced with the idea of change.”

- Chris Runkle, Excutive Director, DARS Inc/Prospect Grove High School

Mr. Griffin’s combination of public speaking, asking thoughtful questions, and using media not only held everyone’s attention, but also inspired the youth to think about the possibilities in their lives.  Mr. Griffin is very confident and comfortable talking with students.  His life experiences, passion for helping children, and his enthusiasm made his presentation dynamic and impactful.  He did a great job “dropping jewels” on the students (giving them wisdom) for life’s choices and challenges.  Mr. Griffin serves as an advocate and inspiration to youth that they can change and achieve their goals.  I would highly recommend Mr. Griffin for any organization, educational establishment, and/or youth group that would like to connect with and inspire real change in youth.  We thoroughly enjoyed the V.I.S.I.O.N Program and look forward to having Mr. Griffin back in the future.”
